You’ll depart late at night from Antigua and begin a 4–6 hour guided hike, depending on group pace. Reaching the highest point of Volcán de Acatenango before dawn, you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise over the volcanic chain — and, when conditions allow, glowing lava flows and eruptions from nearby Volcán de Fuego.

This is a private tour, fully guided and paced to your group, combining physical challenge, dramatic scenery, and one of the most memorable sunrises in Guatemala.

Tour Schedule

• 11:00 p.m. – Departure from Antigua
  Private transportation to the village where the hike begins.

• Night Hike to Acatenango Summit
  Guided hike lasting approximately 4–6 hours, depending on the group’s physical condition and pace.

• 4:00 a.m. – Arrival at the Summit / Base Area
  Time to rest, wait for sunrise, and enjoy panoramic views of the volcanic chain and surrounding highlands.

• Sunrise Experience
  Watch the sky light up over Guatemala’s mountains and, when active, observe Volcán de Fuego’s lava glow and eruptions from a safe distance.

• 6:00 a.m. – Breakfast & Descent Begins
  Enjoy breakfast before starting the descent.

• 9:00 a.m. – Arrival at La Soledad Village
  Meet the vehicle for return transport.

• 10:00 a.m. – Return to Antigua
