Experience one of Guatemala’s most active volcanoes on this guided tour to Volcan de Pacaya avec Ash Travel Antigua. This tour offers a unique opportunity to hike across volcanic landscapes, witness volcanic activity up close (when conditions allow), and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

You’ll be picked up directly from your hotel or accommodation in Antigua and travel approximately one hour to the village located at the base of the volcano. From there, you’ll begin a guided hike of about 1,5 heure to reach the volcanic area. Along the way, you’ll enjoy impressive views and learn about the volcano from your professional guide.

At the top, you’ll have 30–40 minutes to explore, take photos, and—when conditions are safe—participate in the fun experience of roasting marshmallows or cotton candy over the volcano’s hot areas under your guide’s supervision. You’ll also enjoy views of nearby landmarks such as Laguna de Calderas. The descent back down takes approximately 1 heure.
