Travel in specially equipped 4×4 vehicles that take you along mountain roads to a point close to base camp, reducing the hike to approximately 45 minutes. From there, you’ll reach a scenic camp facing Volcán de Fuego, where you can relax, enjoy warm drinks, and witness dramatic volcanic activity at a safe distance.

One of the highlights of the tour is the sunrise hike to Acatenango’s summit, where panoramic views of surrounding volcanoes and the Guatemalan highlands await — a truly unforgettable moment.

Calendrier des tournées

Day 1 – Antigua → Acatenango Base Camp

• 11:00 a.m. – Departure from Antigua
  Meet at the designated meeting point and begin the journey in 4×4 vehicles.

• Scenic 4×4 Ride
  Travel through mountain roads and rural landscapes toward Acatenango.

• Short Hike to Base Camp
  Approximately 45 minutes of walking from the drop-off point to base camp.

• 3:00 p.m. – Arrival at Base Camp
  Time to rest and enjoy spectacular views of Volcán de Fuego, often active with fumaroles and occasional eruptions.

• Evening at Camp
  Dinner, warm beverages, and a campfire while observing volcanic activity under the night sky.

Day 2 – Summit Sunrise → Return to Antigua

• 3:00 a.m. – Sunrise Hike
  Begin the hike to Acatenango’s summit to witness a breathtaking sunrise.

• Breakfast at Base Camp
  Return to camp for breakfast.

• 7:00 a.m. – Descent Begins

• 10:00 a.m. – Return to Antigua
  Approximate arrival time.
